Catch a Fad

Dictionary Definition
             a temporary fashion, notion, manner of conduct, etc., especially one followed enthusiastically by a group.

Recently I encountered two senior business leaders who sadly follow "fads".

I could tell what books they had recently read and who they were following on the web by their enthusiastic descriptions of the direction they are heading in and the operational changes they intended to make.

Don't get me wrong, we must read and learn but we must never become slaves to a notion that has become popular, in that direction we are facing danger.

An ABC article recently pointed out that the only economic prediction that came true was the one that stated that all predictions during 2015 would be wrong. Click here for t he article 

Our January workshop is addressing a remedy using a simple concept articulated by Winston Churchill,  who said -  "The further backwards you can look the further forward you can see."

This is simple advise, but only useful to those prepared to expend the energy required to explore this option.
